Are you planning to spend your vacation in United States…? Then there is no doubt that California is one of the most beautiful places in United States. California has a lot of amazing places where you can go and you are really going to enjoy it. However each and every place of United states is beautiful but if you are planning to go to California then I can tell you the names of some of the places which are really beautiful.


Here is the list of some of the places in California where you can go and enjoy your vacation.

1. Golden gate bridge:

 




Golden Gate Bridge opened in 1937. More than 9 million visitors cross the 1.7 mile bridge in cars, by bike or on foot. It is San Francisco’s most recognized landmark.

2.   Alcatraz island

 




Alcatraz Island is located in the San Francisco Bay. This island is 1.5 miles offshore from San Francisco. Visitors can reach the island by ferry ride from Pier 33 which is near to fisherman’s wharf. This small island many times referred to as “The Rock” was developed with facilities for a lighthouse, a military prison, a military fortification and a federal prison from 1933 until 1963.In 1972 this island became a national recreation area and received designation as a National Historic landmark in 1986.

3. Museum of Modern Art



The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art is located in San Francisco. It is a modern art museum. San Francisco Museum of modern art Research Library was established in 1935. This Research library contains extensive resources pertaining to contemporary and modern art. The museum’s current collection includes over 26,000 works of painting, sculpture, architecture, photography, media arts and design.

The M.H. de young museum is an art museum located in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park. This museum showcases American art from the 17th through the 21st centuries, international contemporary art, the costumes, textiles, and art from the Americas, the Pacific and Africa.

  Golden Gate Park




Golden Gate Park is located in San Francisco, California. It is a large urban park and it consists of 1,017 acres of public grounds. It is over 3 miles long east to west, and about a half mile north to south. It is the third most visited city park in the United States after the central park in New York and Lincoln Park in Chicago.

Academy Of Sciences

 




The California Academy o f Sciences is the largest museum’s of natural history in the world. It carries a large amount of original research with exhibits and education. This academy began in 1853.

7.   Exploratorium

 




It is a museum in San Francisco with over 475 participatory exhibits. All of them made onsite, that mix science and art. It was founded in 1969 by physicist and educator frank Oppenheimer. This museum aims to promote museums as informal education centers. It offers visitors a variety of ways including exhibits, webcasts, websites and events to explore and understand the world around them. The Exploratorium received The National Science Board 2011 Public Service science Award in 2011 for its contributions to public understanding of science and engineering.

8. Aquarium Of The Bay

 




It is a public aquarium located in San Francisco. The aquarium is focused on local aquatic animals from San Francisco Bay and neighboring waters. The Aquarium has skates, bat rays and thousands of other animals including flatfish, rockfish, eels, gobies, kelpfish, prickle backs, wrasse, jonquil and sturgeons. The aquarium has over 50 sharks.
